We booked a River Wild Camper Van (Pirta) to explore Denali National Park. We could not have asked for a better way to camp and explore! We had everything we needed to include two camping chairs, a folding table, two burner stove, jet boil and all your cooking equipment. The van was clean inside and out and rode smoothly. We were surprised at what good gas mileage we got as we drove from anchorage to Denali and on up to Fairbanks. They were super accommodating to allow a late return at a small fee. OMG, such wonderful people to work with! Carolyn was so great, sweet, genuine, and very down to earth. A lovely person to meet, along with her whole crew. They take a lot of pride in their vans, and we felt completely taken care of and had everything we needed. This 10-day campervan trip is easily becoming one of our top adventures, and we're so grateful to have experienced Alaska this way. A lot of that goes to this company. We also felt the van was very reliable. Wished we had one of our own. They were also very flexible with check-in and check-out, which was such a help given our long drive back to Anchorage. Look no further if you want to campervan in Alaska!

The RV had everything I needed, and the wood paneling made the RV feel cozy inside. Many outlets for charge anything and everything. Staff was excellent and accommodating.

The van was spot on and comfortable for the entirety of the trip. I thoroughly enjoyed how Carolyn walked me through the in's and out's and how to operate the controls. She has incredible hospitality and does everything possible to ensure the renter has a comfortable and turbulence free experience from pick up to drop off.

We've previously back pack camped and bicycle tour camped. This is our first camper van experience and we loved it. We are in our early 70's looking for other ways to enjoy the outdoors as we age. Wanted to see if this size vehicle might work for us as we look to buy something, so renting made sense. We loved the hiking our itinerary allowed. Working with Carolyn was wonderful. She helped make the trip go smoothly and trouble free. Loved the comfort and ease of driving and living in this well appointed basic Camper Van for two weeks. Jet Boil and camp stove both easy to use and worked well. (We mostly used Jet Boil with back packing food. Loved the Jet Boil. Used camper stove twice--worked easily and well.) A slightly larger sauce pan would have been a help though. Excellent heater--we primarily used early in the mornings (Sept. night low temps in low 40s and high 30s). Loved ease of going to places without needing hookups. Very comfortable front seats with adjustable lumbar support--we are very picky about car seat comfort. Bed comfortable for us both--we are also picky about our mattresses. Note: one of us is 5'3" and other 5'11". Bed fit latter by sleeping further from the back doors, so could window wells at head and feet provided more length. Good LED lighting. Loved all the USB charging with outlets.No problem standing up straight inside the van. A taller person might not be able to stand up straight, and might want a van with a different bed layout to be able to sleep stretched out. Very happy with itinerary--driving loop from Anchorage--suggested by Carolyn initially based on conversation with us. We filed in details according to what we wanted to do and ideas from Carolyn, and changed when needed on the road. Happy with most of her suggestions of possible activities. We got our "wilderness fix" in the comfort of the camper van. Beautiful Alaskan scenery, wonderful hikes, a fly-view with K2-Aviation, 26 Glacier Day Cruise with Philips, out of Whittier. Also appreciated Carolyn's hotel recommendation, walking distance from River Wild, which made logistics of pick-up and drop-off of camper van work for us at the front and back end of our trip, because we flew in & out of ANK on non-campervan days, so no need to have van delivered.

We had a great experience with the van from River Wild Camper Vans! We spent three weeks in Alaska and it was perfect for our travels. It was clean, cozy, warm and had everything we needed. They were great to communicate with, friendly and responded quickly to any questions we had. Pick up and drop off was easy and convenient. Defiantly recommend.

The RV was great and fit our needs perfectly. We wanted flexibility to go where we wanted to go, without having to pin a time on it. That allowed us to change around some of our itinerary because of weather conditions. The sleeping accommodations were comfortable, but I could see someone who is tall or large feeling a bit squeezed. We had negligible lodging and food costs compared to what we would have had without the RV. The RV was well equipped and clean, as well as reliable and comfortable.So our Alaska trip was an awesome adventure which we very much enjoyed. Thank you River Wild!

Fantastic experience traveling in our River Wild Camper Van. It was a hotel suite on wheels! This was our first experience in a camper van; usually we are tent campers. We were stunned by the comfort. The van had everything we needed to make our trip a luxury camping experience. The van was easy to drive, and we greatly appreciated the responsiveness of River Wild to all of our questions. I would definitely recommend renting from them!
