About Shawna and Austin's RV rentals
Hi! We are Shawna and Austin, and we have a 2 year old daughter, Maeve! We have a Great Dane named Ulysses, and we all love to explore the outdoors. However, I (Shawna) do not like to rough it. I'm terrified of bugs and can only sleep well on a mattress ;) Austin enjoys adventuring into the mountains and finding swimming holes to take a dip in. We bought this RV to enjoy it ourselves a bit and to share it with fellow fun-seekers!

This was the worst host I have ever rented from! First the RV owner was an hr late for pick up. Then the real issues started. There is no key to open the side door so you will have to enter from the front doors and then manually open the door from the inside to open the side door. Once inside there is pretty much nothing in the RV that looks new. The storage compartments are all duct taped to secure in place and the mirror for the closet has some clamps to hold them in place. Armrest on the seats are no longer there. The holding tank door is where the key for the side door was broken off so they give you some kind of tool to open the door. Then you need another tool to open the cover for the holding tanks. But be sure not to unscrew it the wrong way because the valve to hold the tank water back is broken and you could end up getting waste water all over yourself. Then the next issue is the windshield has a huge crack. I returned the RV the next morning do to safety issues.

Hi shawn, thank you for your feedback. I wish you would have stated the original reason for you renting our RV, which was simply to drive it to your destination and not to be using any of the amenities that you complained about in your review. It is the end of the season for Trippy Sue, and like I mentioned during the walkthrough, we have to save larger repairs for the end of the year when it’s not being rented out back to back. None of these small issues would have affected your trip, nor have they impacted any other renters’ trips. As for being late, you originally told me your flight was getting in at one time, and when I went to confirm, you told me an hour earlier than before. I even got off work early (unpaid) to meet you earlier than originally agreed. No thank you from you. Additionally, I didn’t appreciate you yelling at your wife during the walkthrough when she couldn’t find a car charger for you. My experience having you as a renter sounds like it was equally as negative as you had renting from us. I just think it’s important you tell the story from both sides. *Future Trippy Sue renters - feel free to ask me questions about Shawn’s experience so I can give you the full picture (I have receipts to prove what really happened), and read our other reviews to get a better idea of what your experience will be like.

Trippy Sue worked out great for our needs! We went camping "off the grid" with 3 adults and she had more than enough power, water, etc for our needs. She's easy to drive and had enough space for us. She's been well loved so a few things could be repaired to make the experience even better but overall she meets the basic needs.

Everything was perfect! We had a wonderful time camping in the fabulous “Trippy Sue”

Our trip in Shawna and Austin's RV was wonderful! They were so accommodating with our changing arrival time, due to late flights. They did a thorough walk-thru of the RV before we left so that we were familiar with how everything worked. The RV drives great, everything worked perfectly for us, and we couldn't have been happier with our weekend in the camper!

This rental was a clutch savor for our trip. The amount of space we had was luxurious, including the fridge. -I’ve never camped with a restroom so I’m a little worried I’m spoiled now :) Thank you Shawna! We appreciate your accommodations.

Our experience was great! We had frequent communications with the owners. They answered all of our questions promptly. The RV was amazing. We spent 7 wonderful days in Trippy Sue and loved every minute of it. Everything in this RV was easy and with the super slide, it was very roomy as well.
