I'm a resident of Anchorage, Alaska making a living as a cargo airline pilot augmented by aerial landscape photography from a very small airplane as seen at . As with my own 76-year-old Luscombe 8E and the Boeing 737 freighters I operate for a living, maintenance is taken seriously and methodically on all of my vehicles. A maintenance-related accident or being stranded on the remote Alaska road system—or anywhere else—is a serious proposition, be it for safety or simply for the continuance of a long-planned vacation.

Dean's Element was great. He had many add ins available during pickup to make the trip more smooth. The car itself drove great and was easy to get around Alaska for the 9 days we had it. I'm 6'1 and was able to comfortably sleep with my husband in it for 8 nights. The instructions for adjusting everything are easy to follow.

Excellent experience. The only reason I give four out of five stars on value has nothing to do with the actual rental, but with all of the extra fees incurred using Outdoorsy. The price doubled from the posted amount due to all of the mandatory fees included by Outdoorsy. .

Small but efficient and had everything thing 2 people needed to stay overnight in a campground. Gas savings were a bonus! The only thing I felt was missing were a coupe of pillowcases. Overall a great vehicle!

The E-Camper is awesome. Gives you both a sleeping space and living area. It kept me warm and dry despite the persistent rain. Dean went above and beyond to communicate and to pick me up and drop me off. He also takes great care of the camper and cleans it very throughly. There were also some added bonus items that made the E Camper great for someone traveling without all their normal gear. I'd highly recommend renting this Element especially if you're a solo traveler that wants to be protected from bugs, weather, etc.

We had a great time with Dean as our host and his camper van. This is our first-ever camper van trip. We enjoyed every detail of the van! We love the comfortable bed and the foldable curtain for sweet night sleeps. The storage is more than enough for 5 nights of two people. The awning is really helpful in the rain of Alaska. The trash can has a heavy wood top to prevent ordor. The cooking essentials are complete including Aeropress for coffee and electric kettle. We were provided two full propane for cooking with the camping stove and fresh water that did not run out after the 5-night trip. The van was clean and well-maintained. Dean was so nice and responsive to messages, and he offered to drop us off at the airport after we returned the van. We are so fortunate to have chosen Dean and his van.

Great vehicle. Easy to drive, easy to set up, easy to take down. Kept us warm and dry. Dean also equipped us with a lot of gear- stove w propane, cookware, bear spray, sleeping bags, pillows. He even picked us up at the airport. Made it very easy. The sleeping compartment was comfortable and perfectly sized for me and my 18 year old son. My only caution is that getting into the compartment requires some agility. Would also say with your stuff in the car, it would be a tight squeeze for more than 2 people.

The best way to travel Alaska. We loved using this van on our trip. Dean was very helpful in arranging smooth hand off and pickup and made everything about the rental an easy experience.

Dean was knowledgeable and patient while teaching me the set up configuration of the Honda Element. The Honda was perfect for myself and a few days of getaway. He had an assortment of accessories available as well.
