This was our first time camping in an RV. We are a family of 5 and stayed at a full hookups site which was disclosed at the time of purchase. Unfortunately things went wrong from the very beginning. First our reservation said 3pm drop off, but then we found out the night before our trip that they would not be able to make it until 6pm instead. This was frustrating and should have been disclosed beforehand. When the RV arrived, we paid the $100 for set up, but he didn’t set anything but the pop outs beds up. The sewage line didn’t get set up and he didn’t even bring a water line! The Rv had a 55 gallon tank but as a large family, we ran out of water on the first day! Not to mention I had find the hose for the gray tank in the camper since it was never set up. We then had to manually hold the hose to the sewer line in the ground every morning because the gray tank kept backing up into the shower and again the hose wasn’t set up and no connector was in the RV. We took extremely cold showers because the water heater also wasn’t working. And if that wasn’t bad enough, the trailer was not cleaned inside upon arrive and had crusted pee along the back side of the toilet as well as dirt and debris in all the cabinets. The real topping on the cake was that the reservation specifically says not to bring toilet paper as the RV requires a certain type, but when we got in to the RV, there was only HALF a roll of toilet paper provided. We stayed for 4 days and are a family of five so that was not going to last us the entire trip. When we approached the owner about these things he just seemed surprised but never really offered us any kind of refund for not providing us anything but a bed to sleep in. Thankfully we went with friends who are experienced RV campers. Our friend was the one who ended up setting up the gray water tank hose, provided us with a water hose and even gave us some of their toilet paper. It was an extremely disappointing first experience and had we not gone with friends we wouldn’t have had any water available to us, we would have had no toilet paper, and we wouldn’t have had any access to shower or wash our hands since the gray tank was backing up into the shower. It was not a good experience and had our friends not provided us with the RV essentials, we would have left on the first night when our water ran out and the gray tank backed up.
