5.0The van was perfect for our stay. No better way to see Alaska than a van. We slept where we wanted. It was equipped with everything we could possibly need. We had a couple questions over the week and Eric was quick to respond. We TOTALLY we be renting from him again.

5.0We really enjoyed our quick trip to the Kenai peninsula in "Elwood"! We flew into Anchorage and Eric picked us up at the airport and went over the van with us. As mentioned in the listing it is an older van but we absolutely loved our experience in it. We got in late so spent the first night in Cabelas, where a bunch of other RVs & van-lifers were doing the same. The next three nights were: Seward (an awesome spot right by the water), Russian River (lots of salmon but, alas, no bear sightings), and Hope (quite interesting). We dropped the van off at the airport Sat afternoon on our way out. We found the bed to be comfortable (my wife and I are both btw 5'7 & 5'10 - I don't think you could really be any longer than that; I had a little hip pressure but that is to be expected on a trip like this). We didn't cook in the van much (at all) but we made heavy use of the cooler, bluetooth speaker, small electric kettle (I'm getting one of those), jackery, etc. We used the powered shower spray for cleaning off shoes but didn't elect to use if for a shower. I've been trying to talk my wife into a van for years and Elwood definitely nudged her in the right direction!

5.0My one week trip with Elwood was pure Alaskan magic! I thought I'd be "roughing it" at this price point but Eric stocked the van so well and anticipated a ton of needs, it was a super smooth trip even for a n00b like me. I never cared much for amenities in fancy hotels but in a camper van they sure are a treat (Cream sodas! Wipes! Olive oil! Bug and bear spray! Deep tire tread! Ice!). Eric explained all the ins and outs thoroughly during check in and later over text when I forgot everything. I'm already dreaming of doing my once in a lifetime trip a second time, but for longer!
