Easy to Tow and Maneuver
The Basecamp 16X tows easily, parks well, and has cold AC, a well-stocked kitchen, and solar-powered fridge. The back door offers open-air sleeping. While often comfortable, one guest found the bed uncomfortable. Some noted a shower leak and a recurring hose compartment issue.

3.0The host was quick to respond to all questions and concerns. The valve was not turned on for the hot water and once it was corrected there was a leak from the shower. Not wanting to allow the leak to make a further problem, we were not able to utilize the shower. It would be highly recommended to future renters to take a mattress/topper to make the bed somewhat comfortable. The owner reiterated the need to confirm closure for one of the hoses upon pick-up which we did, but on travels home the hose compartment still opened and we lost the hose on the interstate. Not wanting to lose the deposit, we stopped and bought a brand new hose. Evidently it has been a problem previously and should be corrected to leave no potential for it happening frequently.
