2017 Airstream Basecamp
Say hi to ‘Anto. It’s short for Antojo which is Spanish for “I crave.” And if you crave a weekend adventure either in a campground with full utilities or boondocking with gas and solar power, Anto can deliver that for you.Weighing in at only 2700 lbs, he’s easy to pull with any V6 and at 16 ft, follows you around like a goldendoodle puppy. Highly recommended if you’re not very good at towing yet. 2 doors gives you access to load your long paddle or surfboards with D rings on the floor to safely secure everything. But be careful, every time he goes out, someone wants to take a look inside. The basecamp’s modern and beautiful style makes everyone walking by curious. Surrounding tinted windows gives you privacy during the day and creates a more outdoor tent-like experience. But that’s where the tent similarities end. A convertible dinette with 5” padding, hardwood floors, microwave, dual gas stove, stainless steel fridge with freezer, wet bath shower and toilet, A/C, gas heat, water heater, fan, led lights, reading lamp, and 8 usb plugs brings all the luxuries you need to remind yourself that you’re too old to sleep on the ground anymore.Water/sewer/power connections are a breeze. 30 amp power with different power adapters, if needed, are provided. One great reason to travel with a 16 ft off grid trailer is that campgrounds will allow you to use tent sites if their rv sites are full. That happened to us at Crater Lake! What's includedREI Queen sized bedding, towels, dinnerware, cookware, and toiletries are provided. RecommendationsGo Anywhere in the PNW during the summer. It’s actually kind of hard to leave Washington state because the summers are perfect here but they’re short. The Cascades, the Olympics, Mt Baker, Mt Rainier (of course) or the northern Oregon coastline are all breathtaking spots. Other things to notePlease no smoking and follow the one pet rule. We’d love to continue renting and enjoying the trailer for years to come.
