2.0I was excited to spend time enjoying my property, but I feel it’s important to be honest about my experience with this rental. My original booking was for a 2018, 33‑ft trailer with 1 bed and 1 bath. The owner later contacted me to say he would instead be bringing a newer 43‑ft trailer and asked if that was acceptable. Initially, I assumed this was simply an upgrade. Unfortunately, once the trailer arrived, I understood why the question was necessary. Although the replacement unit was larger and had 2 beds and 2 baths, several essential features were non‑functional. The main sink and shower had no faucets, the second bathroom had a significant leak from the vent above the toilet, only two of the air‑conditioning units worked, there were no spoons or cooking utensils, the awning over the main living area did not operate, and eventually the refrigerator failed completely. I kept the owner informed of each issue as it arose. Some concerns were never addressed or written as a moot point since there were 2 toilets. When the refrigerator went out, he said he would bring dorm‑style fridges, but that offer came an hour and a half after we had already discovered the problem. Because we had been out all day and urgently needed to keep our food cold, we purchased a mini fridge from Walmart for $189. When I requested reimbursement, the owner declined, stating that he had provided a “nicer” trailer for the same price. While the trailer was larger, it also required me to bring a bigger generator—resulting in additional fuel costs—and I still lost food that would not fit in the small fridge we had to buy ourselves. I felt compelled to write this review so that future renters are aware that each owner is an independent operator and may not be professional. Unfortunately, this experience has left me disappointed and has affected my confidence in using Outdoorsy for future rentals.
