My little alpine climbing base camp and mobile writing retreat is also a great mini-getaway for a couple or small family. Snug, warm, easy to tow.Updated electrical includes 300Ah Core Series Deep Cycle Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery, 2000W 12V Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger, and control panel so you can see the current load and (especially!) how much power you have left. Also 200W of solar power on the roof! What's includedBring your own linens and towels!Kitchen is stocked with pots and pans, a French press for coffee, plates, bowls, cups, silverware, bowls, coffee cups. There is a small cutting board & a couple sharp knives too. Also a junk drawer with odds and ends.I've got 2 old but still functional camp chairs under one of the benches, which you're totally welcome to use.RecommendationsIt's a great little camper for established campgrounds. As it doesn't come with a generator, using it "off grid" is a little more complicated. I've upgraded the entire power system in the past year so there's a lot of power but you'd still need to be very conservative. For example, the air conditioner is useable on battery power (via the converter) but it will drain the whole system to zero in under 4 hours. There's charge monitor station in place so you can monitor your power usage.Other things to noteThis is my climbing / mountaineering base camp and my mobile writing office (I'm a novelist by trade) so please treat it kindly. If you want to take it to a music festival, Burning Man, or whatever: Let's talk about it first, please.

Christian was wonderful with comunication from the beginning to the end of our trip. We had a good time in the RPod. It was stationary at our friends home and worked beautifully for us as a bedroom and a peaceful place to relax in the evening. We had an issue and let Christian know and he corrected it as fast as he could. Loved getting to know him and look forward to reading some of his published books. If the chance arrives to rent again we would.

Great to have the RV delivered. Great communication. RV wasn’t that clean- thick layer of dust build up on fan in bathroom, dead bugs, kitchen counters also dirty

Christian was very easy to work with and very helpful with making sure we knew how to load up and use all the features of the trailer. The trailer had everything we needed to enjoy our local trip up to Tahoe, and it was very easy to tow.

The owner of the trailer we rented was fantastic. He had very helpful literature that answered any question we could think of when we were out camping. The owner was easy to communicate with and very responsive and quick with replies.

Frequently asked questions

Q.

How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?

A.

I've got an instruction manual to help you with all this.

Q.

How high does the ball hitch need to be to tow the R-Pod?

A.

You'll need the ball hitch to be 17"-19", as measured from the ground to the center of the ball. This way the tongue jack wheel can be easily removed and there's clearance for the bottom of that jack so it doesn't scrape.

Q.

What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?

A.

I generally do drop-offs and pick-ups somewhere in the town of Colfax (or in the Colfax High School parking lot), as it's easier to find than my house. As for flexibility, I'll try to accomodate your needs. Let me know and we'll work something out!
