Hand-built in Los Angeles California entirely of lightweight metal and wood, this classic timepiece stands as a testament to the quality of construction of a bygone era before the onslaught of pop-out fiberglass and plastic pop-outs became commonplace. But be prepared, she's very photogenic and may spark interest from passers-by, as not many of these have survived to this day, and are not commonplace in the great outdoors of the Canadian Rockies! Our Shasta comfortably sleeps 3 adults and 1-2 children comfortably between a full size sofa-conversion, a single-size bunk above, and a twin-size dining table conversion at front. With generously sized wheels and suspension to match, together with her light weight and aerodynamic shape, this camper is a dream to tow behind any adequately sized vehicle that will have you forgetting at times your under tow! A well-designed tongue with hand-crank jack and 7-pin trailer connector make for easy hitch and unhitch. We have various balls of differing drops to fit your 2" receiver should you need it. We offer delivery within a 150 km radius of Invermere BC, for example the range reaches as far as Banff Alberta, Golden BC, Cranbrook BC, Kimberly BC, and all front-country locations within this range. An in-wall propane-fired refrigerator takes care of keeping your food cool with ample space, coupled with a generous wall-mounted propane heater to keep you warm from your toes to your nose on wet and chilly spring or fall days. And from Invermere East to Fernie BC is wonderful. Head South past Creston to Nelson BC, and then keep going West or head north up the Kootenay Lake to Kaslo. North of Invermere follow the Columbia River up the Rocky Mountain Trench to Golden BC, from there West to Revelstoke or East through Yoho to Lake Louise, Banff and Canmore Alberta. One of our favorites, head south from Revelstoke to Nakusp by ferry, then New Denver and Kaslo are wonderful places to see with many great campgrounds. She makes an annual voyage to Tofino BC on Vancouver Island to get back to her roots of West Coast sand and surf. But be careful in summer, most campsites must be reserved in advance.Other things to noteYou MUST have towing experience, no exceptions. This camper is suited only to the front-country, and is too classic to be slamming the rough logging roads of the back-country; light gravel is fine 20-30 km/hr, pavement preferred, so please be honest and share your travel plans before renting. We really don't want pets in the camper, and not because we don't like them, just can't be dealing with the hair in the woven upholstery. Absolutely no smoking inside. and please take good care of her.
