Laverne is a beautiful conversion in a Ram Promaster 2500 with a beautiful interior for a cozy home-away-from-home experience.With features and only the best materials, make your adventure around the Big Island meaningful during the day and restful at night.Laverne fits a full bed (our customer rave about), large sink with a manual foot pump, fridge, a solar shower on the outside, a ventilation fan for a cooler night, a butane stove, and swivel seats with a lagun table for eating inside if it's rainy out.Laverne has two 100 AH batteries that are charged via 400watts from the solar panels and off the alternator. If you hotspot off your phone, she's a great place to work remote from.Please note: our photos show an outdoor table that we had to remove from the van and is no longer included in your rental.What's includedLaverne includes: bug screens in the back, rain guards on the front windows, fresh linens, towels, kitchenware and cookware, french press, utensils, portable camping stove (for use outside of the van), and an outdoor mat to help keep things clean. She is set with all the kitchen amenities you could need for cooking three meals a day (french press, coffee grinder, wine opener, can opener, utensils, plates, cups, bowls, skillets, pots, and more!).
RecommendationsI have put together a map of spots on the island where you could park overnight - secret spots, campgrounds that you will need to obtain a permit beforehand, and places to park in a pinch. My renters have had no issues with just a little bit of forethought and being mindful of where I park overnight. I give you everything you need to plan in advance (the more you prep, the better your stay will be!).Other things to noteYou are not permitted to take the van off-roading or on any 4x4 roads like to Makalawena Beach, Green Sands Beach, Waipio Valley, or up Mauna Kea (even to the visitor center).

Bris Campervan Laverne was a delight, really well thought out design and super comfortable. Everything we needed whilst on Big Island. If we visit again we'd definitely rent another van from Bri!!

Rules and policies

Pets are welcome! If you can find a festival, you are welcome to take her there! No smoking. Cleaning: There is a standard cleaning and sanitation fee of $75. Should the vehicle be dropped off with lots of cleaning to do (grey water and toilet has not been dumped, sand on the ground, and dishes uncleaned) then you will be charged a $150 cleaning fee. Prohibited areas: Due to Bertha not having 4WD, you are not permitted to take her to Makalawena Beach, Green Sands Beach, Waipio Valley, or past the Visitor Center at Mauna Kea. You may hire local services to take you to these locations in a 4x4 vehicle. The van is equipped with a GPS that will alert us if she is in any of these locations, at which point you will be fined $1,000 in addition to the cost of any damage to the vehicle (which there undoubtedly will be, assuming you are even able to get the van back to the road, which you will not).
