Review summary
Communicative but inconsistent presence
Nicole is praised for quick responses and accommodation, but was absent for key interactions. Andy was polite, but rushed the return and didn't inspect the RV.
Serious mechanical, cleanliness issues
One guest reported significant safety concerns with tilted wheels/axle, AC freezing, and other non-functional items (range hood, TV, speaker). Unit also had unsanitary conditions (smelly linens, unusable kitchenware). Other guests found it clean and well-stocked.

1.0Unfortunately our experience was not good. The owners were very pleasant, and available when needed but it ended there. My husband and I are avid campers and have owned 3 RV's ourselves. We were recently relocated to KC MO and have not yet bought a new RV. We were planning our vacation back in February and decided to use Outdoorsey for booking our RV rental. We knew we would need a fully stocked RV for our 17 day, 1400 mile round trip drive to South Dakota. After much research we decided on Nicole & Andy's camper. After reading and re-reading their RV rental description which stated "fully stocked" everything you'll need for a comfortable trip. The months went on We even decided to add 2 more days 1 at the front and another at the end to extend our trip just a bit more. Nicole was very quick to respond and accommodate. The day prior, Nicole was in contact stating they were working on the camper to get it ready for us even offering coffee of our choice. Very nice. We ended up politely declining as we grind our own beans and were planning on bringing w us. Fast forward to pick up on June 26 2026. We arrived and met with Andy whom we have not had any contact with prior, as we have been always communicating w Nicole via Outdoorsey, but no big deal. Andy explained she had to work. He was very polite. As soon as we pull up my husband notices not 1 but both wheels of the RV are tilted inward at top, clearly there was an issue. Andy was quick to say yes, that it hit a big/bad bump but they have checked it out and there are no issues, and its drivable. We were obviously very concerned. Driving a total of 1400 miles is no joke. Unfortunately this was the first we heard of this, and had campgrounds booked as well as excursions and reservations. We were in no position to walk away. We took Andys word and moved on. He quickly walked us thru the outside and inside, pointing out things we would need to know. Thankfully, my husband and I have owned a few and are aware of how the systems work and the ins and outs, which is helpful. Andy proceeded to walk us thru the inside pointing quickly to pots and pans, a utility draw and extra towels and such. Shortly after we hooked up the RV to our truck and headed home to gather our belongings and be on our way. It was then we realized we really made a bad decision choosing Nicole and Andys rental. The kitchen was definitely NOT fully stocked, and what was there was disgusting. The towels although quite a few, were crunchy and smelled terrible, the bedding also smelled and the kitchen pots and pans were literally unusable (see picture below) under the kitchen sink there was what looked like spilt coffee grinds and just a mess ,the TV did not work, the outdoor speaker didn't work, the awning needed much manual assistance to get it to close ( Andy did say you may need to push on one of the arms a bit to get it closed) and he wasn't joking. It was so bad that we literally removed everything in the cabinets, bedding and towels went to walmart and bought what we needed. Absolutely crazy but we knew there was no way we were using what they provided plus we needed to add the things that should have been provided in a "fully stocked" unit. We knew we would he able to use this stuff in our own RV when we buy at end of year but the point being that this should have had everything they said it had and at the VERY LEAST what was there should have been clean! AC froze up numerous times ( we slept w no AC in July in SD because of it) the range hood did not work ( when cooking inside you should always use it due to reducing humidity as well as obvious smells) we did notify Nicole regarding the AC as well as range and she was quick to respond but honestly it didn't matter because we still had to "live" in the RV for 16 nights. After removing their stuff and adding new/clean stuff of our own we decided to make the best of it and did. We had an amazing vacation in SD and made more great memories but knew that when we returned the RV wanted to speak w Nicole about her baby (she referred to the RV as her baby when pointing out we had to complete a task prior to pick up-which is totally understandable) I was hoping to point out the lack of supplies and cleanliness pointing out that this had to have been an oversight on her part as she could never expect anyone to cook in these pots, but unfortunately she was not there AGAIN. Andy was polite upon return but quick to wrap it up and get us out of there pointing out he needs to address some of the mechanical issues including the tire/axel problem w Nicole stating they are already in contact w someone to look at it. I stayed in the truck. After driving 10.5 hrs worried the wheels were gonna fall off, then remove all of our stuff and return all of their "stuff" back in place and do the obvious clean up required after living in it for 16 days, I was in no position to play nice when I noticed wouldn't even be able to finally meet Nicole and share our concerns. My saint of a husband handled the quick return. Another concern, was that Andy was so quick to make the exchange that he didn't even walk thru the RV despite my husband asking him twice if he wanted to check it out before we left. He said "no, he will do that after we leave". My husband didn't think twice until he told me when we were driving away. If this truly was your "baby" you'd want to check to make sure its in the same condition it was when you rented it out. Luckily for them it wasn't, it was cleaner!

5.0Nicole's RV was perfect for us. It had a lot of sleeping room in a compact area. We have been considering purchasing our own, and I want one just like this. As for the process, Nicole was great. Communication was awesome. Thank you so much

Frequently asked questions
Q.
What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We are pretty flexible with pick up and drop off times as long as your plan is communicated ahead of time as we do run a busy schedule! As far as drop off we expect it by 3pm on last day of rental, unless previously discussed and agreed upon plan! If we don't have if rented the next day we don't mind it coming back later as long as you let us know the plan and we are available to meet. If returned after 3pm we will charge a late fee of 1/2 a days rental.
