Here are some things you can do around Las Vegas in an RV:1. **Visit Red Rock Canyon:** Just a short drive from Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon offers stunning natural beauty with its vibrant red rock formations, hiking trails, and scenic overlooks. There are also campgrounds available for RVs.2. **Hoover Dam:** Take a trip to the iconic Hoover Dam, where you can learn about its history, take a guided tour, and enjoy breathtaking views of the Colorado River and the dam itself.3. **Valley of Fire State Park:** This state park features incredible sandstone formations, petroglyphs, and picturesque landscapes. There's a campground suitable for RVs, allowing you to immerse yourself in the stunning desert scenery.4. **Lake Mead National Recreation Area:** Enjoy water-based activities like boating, fishing, and swimming at Lake Mead. The recreation area also offers campgrounds with RV facilities.5. **Death Valley National Park:** While it's a bit of a drive from Las Vegas, Death Valley's unique landscapes, including the lowest point in North America and dramatic desert vistas, make it worth the trip. Be prepared for the extreme desert conditions if you decide to visit.6. **Mount Charleston:** If you're looking to escape the desert heat, head to Mount Charleston, where you can find cooler temperatures, hiking trails, and scenic viewpoints.7. **Explore the Las Vegas Strip:** While not RV-specific, experiencing the iconic Las Vegas Strip is a must. You might want to park your RV at a nearby campground and use public transportation or rideshare services to navigate the bustling area.8. **Camping at Lake Havasu:** A bit farther from Las Vegas, Lake Havasu offers sandy beaches, water sports, and a vibrant atmosphere. There are RV-friendly campgrounds that cater to both relaxation and outdoor adventure.9. **Ghost Towns and Mining History:** Nevada's history is intertwined with mining, and there are several ghost towns and historic sites you can visit to learn about the state's past. Places like Rhyolite and Goodsprings offer glimpses into the past.10. **Stargazing:** The clear desert skies around Las Vegas are ideal for stargazing. Find a spot away from city lights, set up a telescope, and enjoy the celestial wonders above. To our RV renters please plan ahead of time and make reservations for a campground with “FULL HOOKUPS” for a 30 AMP connection.Other things to noteWalkthrough and Training:When you pick up the RV, we will complete a pre-rental orientation of the RV that will take about 1-2 hours, depending on any prior experience you have with the RV. It takes time to do a thorough and complete walkthrough, so please plan accordingly.

5.0Adrian is a great host. He and her wife are very nice and helpful. First, the RV is in very good condition, and are packed with all the necessities for our camping trip. The whole pick-up and drop-off process is very comprehensive and smooth. Adrian is also very flexible with the pick-up and drop-off time to suit our flight schedule, which is a plus, so that we won't waste time waiting for a specific pickup time. The RV is very spacious, with plenty of storage and amenities. We are unable to get the fridge to cool down to store perishable though (it is probably due to we did not perfectly level the RV). We work around by using coolers provided by host (just add ice bag) and freezer to keep the perishable food cool. We travel with 2 kids (3 and 5 yo), to avoid using bulky car seats, we lower the dinette table and let the kids rest their feet on top, like a bed, and strap the kids on the waist. Las Vegas is very hot during the summer, Adrian suggests us to turn on the generator to keep the seats at the dinette to cool off while driving. We also work another way to keep the dinette area (where our kids stay) to stay cool -- by turn the front aircond to max, close the driver and passenger side aircond vent hole, and focus all the air cond to the center, blowing all the cool air to the back. Keeping the temperature inside the RV colder during the night when there is electricity hookup will also help keep the temperature inside RV to be comfortable during the day. The RV is not difficult to maneuver, even it is 29 feet long. But we suggest to slow down especially when there is a crosswind. Overall, we have a very good experience with this RV rental.
