B

Accommodating and Responsive Host

TJ is consistently praised for his flexibility with pickup/drop-off, accommodating requests like late returns or vehicle storage, and providing prompt, clear communication and detailed walkthroughs.

Experiences varied driving performance

One renter reported severe mechanical issues, including AC failure, check engine light, loud noises, and poor uphill performance due to 199k miles. Others found it comfortable and functional despite high mileage, noting it was not fancy but met needs.

We had never rented through Outdoorsy or even traveled in an RV and TJ made our first experience unforgettable! Pickup and dropoff were totally smooth, and we found TJ to be accommodating and flexible. He accommodated both late return of the RV and storage of our primary vehicle during the days we were in the RV. Communication was stellar, before, during & after our trip. The RV itself is not fancy, but met every need, and was simple to use and comfortable to travel in. Our kids were in heaven, and we enjoyed being able to contain them at night more than tent camping. And we were so grateful for the RV when it snowed unexpectedly! All in all, an incredible experience that we would not hesitate to repeat!

RV is VERY worn. Had 199,000 miles on RV and ran like it. The AC did not work. The check engine light was on and was told that it was the exhaust manifold and it wouldn't effect the drving-- WRONG! The vehicle would not go over 20 mph up the canyon, (was actually old not to go faster than 65 mph). Very loud rattling noice and clicking sound. Had to drive with the windows down the entire trip since AC didnt work. The passenger side blew hot air the entire drive, overheating and burning passengers legs. Burned through gas. The RV itself was very dirty-- we found old dirty clothes, expired condiments, even a pack a cigarettes. The fridge stunk very badly--we ended up not using any of the "extras"-- toilet, shower, fridge, oven...even the bedding that was supplied. Brought our own sheets, pillows and blankets and tried to make the best out of it. The idea of the RV is great, but this old Bessy needs to be parked. She's seen her glory days. We ended up returning the RV a full day early, as our group left our campsite and we were worried we would get stranded with a broken down RV by ourselves. Best to leave with the group and not chance it! The owner was nice-- he did give us a small refund and worked with us for pickup and early drop off. But truly, this rental should be retired. Overall, disappointing to spend so much money on a not so great rental -- but our kids will never forget the experience and we have a memory we can laugh about.

T.J. was a great host. Went over all the importance stuff to know and was very responsive. The RV definitely showed its 190k miles, but overall was a great getaway for the family and we had a great time going to the lake. It was our first RV trip, and we definitely learned a lot in the process. Looking forward to trying another RV as a family.

My name is Tigran and I am an avid traveler. I have graduated from the University of Utah majoring in International Studies. I always had a soft spot for discovering and studying new places and experiences. I have tried an RV travel several years ago and I loved it so much that I have decided to own an RV myself. Later I realize that this is too good to be mine only and now I offer you guys to experience and discover this great way of traveling for yourself.
