Review summary

Communicative and very helpful
Alexis is praised for prompt communication, thorough explanations during pickup, and responsiveness to questions. One experienced RVer, however, noted a lack of troubleshooting knowledge during major mechanical issues.
Easy to drive and park
The Winnebago Solis is noted for being nimble and easy to drive, fitting in regular parking spaces, even for RV novices. However, one long trip reported critical failures including solar, water pump, furnace, and brake issues.

5.0The Ultimate Adventure Machine! This was hands-down the best camping experience we’ve had. The host made everything seamless and gave great tips, clearly knowing their stuff when it comes to outdoor travel. The van itself is a masterpiece; fully loaded, meticulously organized, and ready for any outdoor destination. It felt like a cozy home on wheels. Don’t hesitate to book this!

1.0As experienced off-grid overlanders, we can confirm this rig is unfit for multi-day trips. During our 15-day, 3,100-mile rental, the van suffered major systemic failures due to a lack of maintenance. I wouldn't trust this for more than an overnight. Electrical & Utilities: The solar system died on day 3 and wouldn't hold a charge for 9 days, despite 8 hours on shore power. This killed the water pump (no water) and furnace, forcing us to idle the engine to warm the bed. The water heater failed to ignite, setting off alarms at 4:19 AM. Maintenance & Health Hazards: The van needed brake fluid at mile 300, and brakes squeaked by mile 1,000. Heavily fragranced sheets initially hid a rotting smell deep inside the rig. A faulty bathroom vent continuously leaked sewage fumes into the cabin. Host Support: The owners lack basic RV knowledge. When troubleshooting, they had to search for answers; I solved issues faster using AI. Neither the water heater nor furnace appears ever to have been serviced. Avoid renting until this rig is fully overhauled. Again, we own an off-grid home and have lived 90+ nights camping in other rigs, this was by far the worst we've experienced.

5.0We had an amazing time with, "The Wanderer". It took us down to the OR coast and Mt. Hood. Very comfortable and relatively easy to drive. Alexsis and family were very easy to communiticate with us. When we picked up the van, they took their time explaining to us how to operate the van. 10/10 reccomend renting from them!
