One of the best parts of RV travel is discovering places you’ll want to return to year after year. These are a few of our personal favorite destinations:-O'Connell's RV Campground-
A Midwest camping classic and one of our longtime favorites. O’Connell’s is PERFECT for families, first-time RV travelers, and anyone looking for a campground packed with activities. With pools, waterslides, mini golf, fishing lakes, bike trails, and organized events throughout the season, there’s always something happening here. It’s a great balance of relaxing campsite vibes and resort-style fun.
-Approx. from Oak Lawn: 95 miles • about 1 hour 45 minutes.-Starved Rock State Park-
If you love hiking, scenic overlooks, waterfalls, and peaceful wooded camping, Starved Rock is hard to beat. The sandstone canyons and river views make this one of Illinois’ most iconic outdoor destinations. We especially recommend visiting in the spring for waterfalls or during peak fall colors. Nearby downtown Utica also makes for a fun stop after a day on the trails.
-Approx. from Oak Lawn: 80 miles • about 1 hour 40 minutes.-Indiana Dunes State Park-
One of the most unique camping destinations in the Midwest. Indiana Dunes combines beautiful Lake Michigan beaches with wooded campsites, hiking trails, and towering sand dunes that feel completely different from anywhere else nearby. It’s an awesome summer destination and a perfect quick getaway from the Chicago area.
-Approx. from Oak Lawn: 70 miles • about 1 hour 30 minutes.-Devil's Lake State Park-
Hands down one of the most breathtaking state parks in the Midwest. Devil’s Lake is famous for its crystal-clear lake, dramatic bluffs, incredible hiking, and amazing views from the quartzite cliffs overlooking the water. Whether you want to kayak, hike, swim, or simply relax around the campsite, this place delivers every time.
-Approx. from Oak Lawn: 210 miles • about 3 hours 45 minutes.Other things to noteIMPORTANT!! Electrical Hookup: At campsites, ALWAYS plug into 110V/30A power, NOT 220V/50A- This is a smoke free RV.

5.0Chris was very easy to work with and flexible with pick-up and delivery. We had to change pick up time due to my husband work schedule. They were very accommodating. The camper was as described. It was clean and comfortable. Everything worked. Will definitely use again in the future.
