Halen is a fully converted adventure van. She is used as a climbing, mountain biking, backpacking home base and has everything you need to explore in comfort. More importantly, the attention to detail, fit and finish, woodwork and general coziness of this van will make this van feel more like a home by the end of the trip.We have taken her off road, through the snow, camped in the desert, and everything in between. There's nothing quite like having a hot meal, an ice cream sandwich, and a cold drink after a long day of being outside. A super comfortable bed is a nice perk too.She comes fully stocked with:
Kitchen:
- A freezer/refrigerator
- Sink
- Pantry
- Stove
- Pots / pans
- Silverware
- Dishes
- Cleaning supplies
- Kitchen table and seating for a comfortable 5 (though we've gotten 8 in there on cold winter nights)Bedroom:
- Full bed
- 3 cabinets for clothes
- Mood lightingGarage:
- Bike mounts for road and mountain (internal so no worrying about theft
- 50 gallon water tank
- Outdoor shower
- Inverter
- Batteries (solar fed from top of van)
- Composting toiletDepending on the season, we will also provide a heater and easy tighten snow chains (I've taken Halen through some of the worst storms in the Sierras without too much trouble thanks to those chains). What's includedFresh linens, camping chairs, drinks/snacks (upon request), and any recommendations you need for your trip. RecommendationsI think that is the beauty of having a van, you can do whatever you want! My personal preference would be climbing, biking, or backpacking while using the van as a home base. It makes it way easier to extend a trip when you have a kitchen to stock groceries and a bed to recover. Other things to noteUltimately, we want you to treat Halen like she way your van. We still use her about half the year and if things are broken (from taking her on super terrible off-road trails) or from banging things around inside, it isn't just expensive, it's valuable time we can't be doing what we love most.
